Now commercially focused, Jack is directly commissioned by leading corporations for projects across: high-end business, portraiture, travel, food, sport and editorial features.
He is a former overall individual winner of The Australian Press Photographer of the Year Award (the highest award possible within the profession in Australia) and in 2008 he was named as the highly commended runner up winner in Australia's richest contemporary Art Award - The Moran Portraiture Prize - selected from some 3000 entrants.
Since 2004 (and current) he has worked as the Chief contracted photographer in Australia for Bloomberg News (the world's largest financial news wire service). This role sees him photograph Australia's foremost corporations and their people on a daily basis.
Notable CEO’s he has personally photographed include: James Packer, Sir Richard Branson, David Gonski, Sol Trujillo, Chip Goodyear and Marius Kloppers, David Clarke, Allan Moss, Ralph Norris and Gail Kelly .. to name a few.
Along with Australia’s highest business leaders he has also previously photographed world leaders such as: American President George W. Bush, Russian President Vladamir Putin, Chinese President Hu Jintao, The Pope and The Queen - and he is currently called to photograph Australian Prime Minister. Mr. Kevin Rudd, on regular occasions.
Jack's commercial focus and ability to work with international brands has evolved from a high-pressure background.
For 14 years, he traveled the globe shooting international sport for Australia's leading daily newspapers (8 years) and then world picture agencies (6 years) covering such events as: The Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, Rugby World Cup, UK Premiership League soccer, Presidents Cup Golf, The Dubai Dessert Classic and Davis Cup Tennis Finals.
Between the years of 1998-2001 he also toured as Official Photographer for The Australian Cricket Team.
2003 saw him move to the world's Formula One circuit, becoming the first Australian photographer to work on staff for F1's pre-eminent photo agency, 'LAT', based in London.
A highly coveted position - 'LAT' only ever employ 5 photographers - from a world wide field - to shoot any F1 race - shooting directly for the F1 teams themselves.
This role enabled Jack to begin working with various global sponsors and saw him expand his photographic repertoire - moving away from sports action - to include high end business, portraiture, food, wine and luxury travel.
In 2005 he hosted how own 6 part TV series on Australia's Foxtel network - 'Digital Snap' a first of its kind TV show discussing 'digital photography' - along with hosting his own talk back radio program in 2006 -07 on Australia's highest rated talk back radio station - 2GB in Sydney - also discussing 'photography'.
He is also involved in charity as Official Photographer for The Steve Waugh Foundation (the charity founded by former Australian test cricket captain Steve Waugh).
Since returning to Australia in 2004, he continues to establish distinct portfolios for leading international name companies, across a wide range of projects.
