About
My name is Kelly Mills and I'm a portrait photographer, specialising in children, babies and families. I am based in Melbourne however I do travel to Perth from time to time, so Perth enquiries are also welcome!
My love of photography has always been with me, I'm passionate and love what I do. Capturing special moments in time for families to treasure forever is the basis of my business.
My photography style is very natural. I don't use a flash and make use of the natural light available, both indoors and outdoors. I also come to you (or will meet you at a location of your choice). Most importantly, I steer away from 'staged' photos and ensure every photo session includes lots of fun, love and laughter! I want us to have a great time, the more fun we have, the bigger the smiles and there's nothing better than capturing the laughter, happiness and innocence of a child? and the love between families. It also helps to make the shoot memorable. I want you to look at the gorgeous photos we capture and remember how much fun we had on the day! I have two young children myself, which helps me interact well with children and I love to have a great time and make them laugh!
My photography studies began in high school where I had a lot of experience with darkrooms and developing film! Thankfully those days are over (although it was great fun, it's messy, time consuming and so much more work is involved), and I now enjoy using the computer instead! I have done and will continue to attend great photography workshops to improve my skills and keep up with new developments. I've also worked in advertising and had a professional career as a Marketing Manager. My last role before having children was Marketing Manager of a major shopping centre, in which I ran a large array of photo shoots and developed high quality magazines, amongst other things! This business, however, is what I've always dreamed of and I feel incredibly privileged to be living that dream!
I like to think I can cater to everyone, so have many options available and most importantly, there's no minimum spend required for my photos! I love to create and can produce invitations, cards, calendars and the like, along with standard photography prints, enlargements, canvas prints and can also provide electronic images on disk. I want to work in with what YOU want and am happy to discuss options with you.

I have two young children myself and love to capture their ever changing personalities to share with family and friends. They grow up so fast and there are so many precious moments to remember forever. My own photos are some of my most precious possessions, cherished forever.
