About
Rarely will you see me in a photo, as I'm always the one behind the camera, capturing the nature of the moment, be it a stunning remote landscape, the joy of a special event, alluring real estate sales images or testing an off-road van along a bumpy forest track. With a background in graphic design, my skill is in framing a subject to draw out the key elements and adapting my abilities to suit my clients needs.

In 2011 my interest in photography leapfrogged from enthusiast to professional, thrust into the spotlight of Australia's most respected recreational titles, contributing images of Australia's iconic destinations - the Simpson Desert, Kimberley, Cape York, Pilbara, Whitsundays and Western Australia's dramatic southern coastline. These images filled seventeen consecutive travel features in Camper Trailer Australia magazine and countless others in 4x4 Australia, Caravan World, Open Road Magazine (NRMA), ARB 4x4 Action and more.

With over 25 years graphic design experience, working for one of Australia's largest media entities, News Ltd. These include Weekend Magazine, MX Newspaper, Herald Sun, Sunday Herald Sun, Weekly Times, Home Magazine, IPM, Y Newspaper and Messenger Newspapers. An extensive knowledge of Adobe CS InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator for both advertising and editorial. I am seasoned in working under pressure to tight publication deadlines.

Partnering with husband Mike, we are the SA Dealers for Track Trailer Mate range and Stockman Products Pod Trailers, plus ARB Accessories and Oztent. Based in the Adelaide Hills, we run a retail and hire camper trailer business called The Dirt. Having travelled extensively including a 13 month big lap of Australia in 2011, exploring the most remote outback posts in a hybrid camper trailer, we know a thing or two about setting up a vehicle and camper trailer for short or extended trips.

We have been regular contributors to some of Australia's top recreational magazines since 2009, covering camper trailer/caravan reviews, travel, product tests and special features. Historically, contributing to 4WD Action, ARB 4x4 Action, Australian Caravan & RV, Camper Trailer Australia, Camper Trailer Touring, Camping with your 4WD, News Ltd publications, Trackwatch (Four Wheel Drive Victoria) and What Tradies Want.

Anita was great to work with, she was very efficient and extremely proactive in replying to emails, organising dates for photo shoots and working with different staff and children on the day. Anita supplied the photos within a few days of the photo shoot and sorted them into categories which was incredibly helpful! I would definitely recommend and use Anita again in the future. Thank you!

I called on Anita Pavey to do a photo shoot for me as previous shoot with another photographer didn't deliver the shots I was after. Anita completed the job in a very short space of time & was able to capture exactly what I wanted. Her friendly and professional manner & her expediency in getting the product out was greatly valued.
