Erika Fish is a professional photographer based in Brisbane, Queensland
I am a Brisbane-based photographer who luckily gets to spend my time taking pictures of the world around me through my candid portraits, news, documentary and event images. I have an intuitive approach to my work, always looking to draw out the best in people. Always excited by what I see; always interested in what makes us who we are.
My images are created with measured consideration giving a sense of time, place and personality. I have spent many years working to deadline to deliver creative visual results. I have an innate understanding of media and editorial imagery and can drive a shoot in a fast and creative manner without forgetting the tone of the story. I have spent many years working in corporate communications where imagery and innovation go hand in hand. I have a love for event photography as it takes me into different worlds showing me the diversity of us a people.
I have a passion for Black and White images. They are a wonderful and timeless way to hold on to a memory. I use a Leica M Monochrom which gives a distinctly unique fine art feel as well as a variety of film cameras.

December 14th, 2017Erika organised everything, and went to lengths to put me at ease. Although I was initially a little tense, I eventually got into the experience, helped by Erika's clear instructions and encouragement. Erika has an artist's eye, and I think this comes out in the wonderful images she captured. She managed to produce art from this nervous sitter, and the images are in turn surprising, confronting, honest and insightful. It has been a unique experience, thank you Erika.Jen O'Gorman
November 6th, 2017Erika did a wonderful job of photographing our sons baptism. From the onset of planning through to the delivery of the photos, Erika combined professionalism and warmth to deliver stunning photographs. Erikas key strength is her keen eye for detail. She captured both the big moments and the little (but still important) ones. Collectively, the photos tell a story of a special and memorable day. We will treasure the photos for years to come. I do not like being photographed and I'm rarely happy with photos taken of me. However the photos that Erika took earlier this year are the first ones I can't find a single fault with, can look at without cringing and absolutely love. Erika takes flawless and amazing photographs.Write your review
