I have to say I expected a lot from this photography because some of her work is actually quite stunning. Unfortunately this wasn't reflected in the photos of my own wedding. Fun, natural and creative photography ended up looking awkward, flawed and lacklustre. There were some amazing candid photos (though most were at random and none capturing the important moments of the day). I would say it was too natural, in the sense of no organisation, no posed shots, group photos were awful, there was always one member of the bridal party looking the wrong way or with a weird expression or something. Never was anyone told to stand at a certain angle or strike a pose, which left for a lot of less than flattering shots. I didn't like the trial engagement photos, but blamed that on my choice of outfit and hair rather than recognising that maybe this style of photography wasn't for us. I also found her hard to connect with, which is always a warning sign. One thing that really annoyed me was that I asked her if my sister in law - who is also a professional photographer - could come along for the bridal party photos and takes some photos, she said no and that this would be too distracting. It's my day! I should have who I want there! Instead she had her own assistant who took the same photos at a different angle and most of them were terrible. I didn't ask for nor did I pay for a second photographer - I knew there would be an assistant but she was more of a distraction than a help. I wasn't even introduced to her! One of the groomsmen was completely missing from the single portrait shots of the groomsmen. I was fairly laid back and wanted a natural style but didn't realise this would mean no direction at all and excuses to be sloppy!
