Live Photography

Hey there! We're Live Photography. We're Irena and Jan, partners in life, love and crime and above all... a wedding photography team.

In our past lives, we were a lawyer and an engineer, but once we chose to make our mark on the world by setting off down the path of professional wedding photographers, we also decided that we wanted to do wedding photography differently. We wanted to break rules and challenge conventions, we wanted to take photos that are raw and honest and to create portraiture that is intimate and sexy.

We like to describe our style as contemporary, edgy, creative and fashion inspired and when we can, we like to steal our wedding couples away to some really cool locations to create epic portraits and wall-hanging-worthy art.

If we're not shooting portraits, however, we try not to get in the way of the events that unfold naturally during a wedding day and to capture the organic flow, intimacy and emotions in an unobtrusive way. At the end of the day, artistic portraits or not, we are there to first and foremost capture and tell the story of your wedding and to take part in celebrating your love, not to style your day or interpret you as someone you are not. That is what we believe in.

We're currently located in Sydney, Australia, but we originally launched our business in Prague. We still travel to Europe every year, and as often as possible to other parts of the world, to shoot destination weddings.
