Photography is the means by which I am able to celebrate and share the spectacular beauty and inspiration that I find in the world - in all its astonishing diversity and splendour.

In this sense, my subjects become the greatest gifts when I have the privilege of celebrating their beauty through the lens of my camera. Each time I press down on the shutter button, I like to think of it as an act of profound gratitude for the privilege of connecting with the unique and precious individuals and moments that I have been invited to capture.

For me, there is no better experience than the moment when a client sees their final images for the first time, and the look in their eyes confirms that, through my vision, their vision has become a reality; their magical moments have become tangible, precious memories; or the people I gazed at through my lens have become perfect portraits that capture their unique beauty and inimitable character.

Apart from my photographic experience, I also have a background in fine art, theatre, education and research. My guarantee is simple: I will work very closely with you at every point before, during, and after the shoot(s). If, at any point, you are not happy with the process/product(s), I will - within reason - do whatever it takes to ensure that your expectations are more than exceeded.

The way I usually work when it comes to quotations - and this is, indeed, a little unorthodox - is to request that the client makes me an 'offer' as a starting point. Once we have a proposed 'budget' on the table, we can then negotiate a final fee from there. Of course, I can also provide you with a standard, formal quotation if preferred. I am able to provide such quotations with hourly or daily rates, but I am also open to negotiating package deals, and/or image-based rates.

What are the typical things that I need to know before providing you with a quotation?

1) The purpose of the shoot
2) The budget
3) The location
4) The time(s) of day
5) The number of hours you require me to be available
6) How many people/models there will be, and, if possible, a few details about them (e.g. age, gender etc)
7) The amount of editing/post-production required
8) The turnaround time
9) Any additional specific details/requests

In order to save you time (and possibly money!) you might want to consider the following points prior to approaching photographers for quotations:

1) Think carefully about how many final images you require, and what they will be used for.
2) Browse the web and/or magazines for images that might help you to illustrate your vision/'look' to the photographer.
