Elaine Hardy, Sorell TAS (Master Your Camera Experience),
"After being embarrassed about knowing so little I was put at ease and felt comfortable".
Matthew, Lara VIC (Capturing Close-ups and Dusk to Dark Experien,
"As a complete novice with my Canon 1100D, on your Capturing Close Ups walkabout tour you provided me with a very pleasant and informative half day of instruction and sound advice on the operations and functionality of my camera. You practical teaching tempo was very relaxed and patient, and I enjoyed so much the discoveries of what could be produced from macro shooting. The venue of the Botanical Gardens of Hobart with the conservatory was a perfect.
The Dusk to Dark session was a fantastic experience in learning how to take low light photos while drawing out the best lighting and colours of the buildings of Salamanca and landmarks of Hobart's CBD and water front.
Thank you both for a great day and evening with your very experienced photography skills and knowledge. I highly recommend your Shutterbug Walkabout tours."

I am absolutely planning to share all possible stars in all rating systems but I want to try processing a few photos first to include with my reviews so people can see the results I got!
You two are a power-team and I wish Tasmania was’t quite so far away. I’ll be back as soon as possible to take more lessons and trips into nature — especially the longer multi-day ones. Before I met you, I would have said it was a once in a lifetime trip. But now, I’m scheming in my mind how I can get back and bring photo buddies. Of course, having Roy’s instruction all to myself spoiled me so I’m not sure how much I’m willing to share!
Thank you most sincerely for your incredibly kind, encouraging and supportive communication throughout my waffling about what to do. At first I wasn't so sure about being so close to animals [at the wildlife sanctuary] but I’m incredibly appreciative of having had the experience.
Jo K, Tasmania ,
I've been to other courses before but have not learnt so much in just four hours. The one-on-one tuition that you offer makes all the difference. I was able to ask lots of questions, learn at my own pace and get expert advice with every shot
Ian C, Australia,
Spent a day with Roy touring the foothills of Mt Wellington, starting with a glorious but windy sunrise followed by learning about the world of fungi for a little close-up photography and then some waterfall lessons. The focus was on improving my technique and understanding of the camera and Roy delivered. Informative and helpful and always happy to answer my questions. Highly recommended.
