I'm Stefan, a photographer from Hobart, Tasmania. For nearly 10 years I've had an interest in photography, particularly landscape photography.

After doing a share of amateur videography and computer-generated video media, I started taking landscape photos in 2007 with a cheap Kodak Easyshare Z740. On the way to school, I would pop the camera beside the car window and take photo after photo of the different views I would see to and from school.

The idea of capturing environments and scenes of a grand scale fascinated me at that point, but it was not until I was given my first DSLR for Christmas that I began exploring that idea further. From then on, it was a goal of mine to capture areas of Tasmania with a scope of almost cinematic scale. It is what I continually try to do throughout my work where it feels necessary.

Thanks to the training I have received in educational institutions and out in the field, I'm confident I will present work that is consistent, yet changing. I have had the honour of collaborating with other local photographers and love helping (and learning from) other artists to enhance and transform our creative journeys where possible.
