Burnie

Can you imagine 20,000 rhododendrons in one place Well, Burnies Emu Valley Rhododendron Gardens hosts even more, as well as other plants within authentically built natural environments. If you love taking photos of plants once in a while, you definitely want to pack your camera for this trip. Besides the walking trails that allow encompassing views of the city and the coast, Burnie is also host to a local Penguin Observation Centre, where you can go in the evening to photograph penguins as they head to their nests and find out more about the species./While youre around, why not head out to the Guide Falls Reserve for a picnic next to the waterfalls. Photographers have the possibility to walk all the way to the bottom of the cascade, which provides some great sights. Lastly, patient spirits can visit the Fern Glade Reserve where, at dawn, you might have the chance to see a platypus. At the end of the day, if you want to learn more about whiskey, do visit the local Hellyers Road Distillery.
