"A mix of Contemporary and Documentary style fine art Photography set against the backdrop of the majestic South West"

Fast becoming one of the regions favourite wedding photographers, Victoria Baker provides a mix of contemporary and documentary style, fine art wedding photography across the South West.

"It is such a beautiful part of the world, says Victoria, and having the privilege of witnessing celebrations of love against the majestic backdrop of the SW landscape, I feel very lucky.

She truly understands her camera, and as a result her images have a film-like quality, similar to the classic images of yesteryear. It is a style that perfectly compliments the scenery and feeling of the SW, and a look that so many couples seek to emulate in their wedding styling. It is amazing how perfectly this style of photography works in this region, says Victoria, with the rural landscapes and heritage buildings, I find that the film-like feel of my photos ties everything together so nicely.

As a photographer, Victoria's passion is using her imagery to tell a story. And what better story is there than a love story? She is passionate about connecting with her clients, taking the time to learn their history, the stories of their relationships, where they have come from and where they are heading.

Victoria Baker came to Australia on a backpacking trip in 2009, met her Aussie husband, a Bridgetown local, during her travels and the rest is history. I remember arriving in Bridgetown, coming essentially straight from my life in London, and it definitely took me a little while to adjust to the slower pace of life! In the UK, Victoria had completed her university degree in Photography, and spent the early portion of her career doing editorial shoots in London for well-respected publications like The Face and The Sunday Times as well as large corporate advertising clients like M & C Saatchi. It was fantastic exposure and working with such well-known names pushed me to define my own artistic identity. They really want their photographers to have a brand, as it were. So holding exhibitions of my work became an important part of that process for me.

Investing time in getting to know her clients in the lead up to their weddings means that Victoria is able to work more effectively on the day. My couples are humble, fun-loving people who want to enjoy their day, leaving the camera worries up to me. I pride myself in being an unobtrusive photographer. My photos are real. As I document the day unveiling, they become a true representation that you can cherish- your memories preserved on film.

When you look at Victoria's photos, they speak volumes. She has that rare instinct to know the right moment to capture. Her photographs are revelations, to the subjects, to the viewers. They are intensely beautiful and spontaneous, which is what makes them so interesting. Whether she is shooting a wedding or a family portrait, she manages to capture the feeling of each moment on film.

Deborah Azubel,
My partner and I were both a bit hesitant when it came to posing for wedding pictures. We are both shy and didn't know how we would feel standing in front of the camera. But luckily enough my mother in-law was wise enough to book Victoria for our wedding. She immediately made us feel comfortable and we felt no pressure at all at any time. She was friendly and gentle and all of that is reflected in her wonderful pictures with which we are over the moon with. Everyone that sees our pictures is amazed at how beautiful they turned out. Best photographer ever!! Thank you so much for an memorable experience!

We used Victoria as our wedding photographer 6 months and were extremely happy with how she captured our big day. We were both a little nervous about being in front of a camera and are definitely not photogenic one bit! But after meeting with Victoria we felt totally at ease and 100% comfortable with her gentle guidance and easy going nature. Her technical knowledge and artful eye is evident in every photo. Victoria captured our day perfectly with natural photos in many varied settings that are true to who we are and we were actually photogenic :D If you're looking for a professional, kind, efficient, talented, flawless and very affordable photographer then you can not go past Victoria.

Victoria's photographs on our Ferguson Valley property for our son's wedding were so much more than we anticipated. She captured the bridal couple's sense of fun, informality and obvious love for one another. Victoria is easy to work with, very professional, and put everyone at ease, which was reflected in the photographs. Her framing of the subjects and backgrounds were artistic, resulting in photographs that are stunningly beautiful. We have no hesitation in recommending Victoria for capturing those special , memorable moments.
